As I approach the age of 60, having created and built a global cosmetics company with my partner Rick and achieving many of our goals, I may just be getting close to finding my why.
It’s great that you’re here and a little surprising to me that I am! This is not something I expected to be doing at this stage in my life.
As a little girl growing up in Toronto my ambitions, such as they were, revolved around wanting to be like my Mom and figuring out how to make a place for myself in the world.
You can blow out a candle, but you can't blow out a fire.
I always preferred to be a listener rather than a talker and someone who tried to leave things a little bit better than when I found them. I spent hours at my little makeup table pretending to be all grown up and attempting to quietly make my way through the day without drawing too much attention to myself.
As I grew it became more clear to me that I was on a quest to fulfill the mission described by Mark Twain who wrote, "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
My beautiful mother
Now, as I approach the age of 60, having created and built a global cosmetics company with my partner Rick and having achieved many of our goals, I may just be getting close to finding my why.
I am hopeful that many will join me in exploring this life and together, find our reason for being.
This will be a journey where we embrace humans united by their individualism and their own beauty. People who raise their hands. People who declare through their actions that it's OK to stray from the path. People who acknowledge that beauty is difference.
That's where I live.
These are my people.
From them, I derive my power and belief that I can and will influence change for good.
I am so delighted that you’re coming along with me.
Look at things not as they are, but as the can be.

We’re still learning
Here’s something I love as I grow in experience and years - when I have the self-confidence to honour myself, and others, the nonconforming and the unconventional - my life becomes richer through knowing in my heart that beauty is difference.

Contrary to conventional thinking, we can grow softer as we age. I want to share how I and others can share stories of mystery, magic and paradox!
If that reads like something you’re interested in then this is the right place for you and I am delightedto have you with me.
